Senior Information Technology Manager

Senior IT Manager

The Senior IT Manager provides end-user technical support and desk-side assistance for IntelePeer’s office software environment including Microsoft Windows10, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Teams, Apple Macs, Dell PCs and laptops, networked printers, pads and mobile devices, Anti-virus security, and the CrashPlan Cloud Backup System. The Senior IT Manager is responsible for receiving inquiries and issues from users, and using expertise to determine the root cause of problems. The Senior IT Manager installs, configures, troubleshoots, diagnoses and resolves issues with PC’s, laptops, network connectivity, printers and peripherals.

Other responsibilities of the Senior IT Manager role include:

  • Maintaining an inventory of office equipment – PCs, lap tops, monitors, IP phones, headset- and working with our suppliers to maintain that inventory as needed
  • Interfacing directly with internal customers with a professional and positive demeanor
  • Managing PC relocation per Move/Add/Change requests
  • Installing and upgrading hardware and software
  • Supporting air card/wireless devices
  • Setting up and supporting VPN accounts
  • Submitting service requests with hardware/software suppliers
  • Maintaining the office equipment inventory
  • Administering the cloud-based backup system and the anti-virus system

Time Allocation

  • Desktop Support – 50%
  • Software installation and upgrade support – 20%
  • Responding to potential security threats – 20%
  • Managing our email and telephone system service provider – 10%

General Skills: 

The Senior IT Manager must have a proven track record for successfully delivering a superior-level of customer service. To be successful, the Senior IT Manager must be able to meet established service level agreements while exhibiting excellent interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate is a dedicated and resourceful self-starter who is able to prioritize and successfully complete tasks with minimal supervision.


Other requirements of the Senior IT Manager role include:

  • 2–4 years of Information Technology Desktop Support experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology-related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Experience with end-user computing platforms including Dell, Azure, Windows 10, Office 365, MS Office Suite, SharePoint, Outlook, MS Teams
  • Knowledge of Active Directory
  • Knowledge of network printer setup and troubleshooting
  • PC & Network troubleshooting skills
  • Desktop and laptop break/fix experience
  • Ability to resolve basic to advanced hardware, software and connectivity problems
  • Experience with Salesforce Ticketing System

Technical Skills:

Exchange/Outlook, SharePoint, WebEx, MS Teams, Windows 10, MS Office, MS Azure        



BS or equivalent work experience.
