The Senior QA Engineer is responsible for creating and executing the test plans, test procedures, and test cases used to certify new products and services. Test areas include: feature/function, system, performance, and regression. The Senior QA Engineer works closely with the Director of QA, Software Development Staff and Product/Project Management to help lead and participate in every phase of the Software Development Lifecycle.

Position Responsibilities

  • Test planning, execution, tracking, and reporting
  • QA best practices analysis and Automation Tool execution
  • Lead QA initiatives for new Product and Projects
 

    Requirements

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in related field or relevant work experience

    Expertise & Experience

    • Prior experience with Telecommunications
    • Five or more years’ experience in a Senior QA role testing Contact Center products
    • Creating and executing test plans, test procedures, and test cases
    • Working with UNIX/Linux operating environments
    • Writing SQL queries to perform database verification
    • Ability to track and report test results and progress against plan
    • Strong systems troubleshooting skills
    • Strong analytical, organizational and conceptual skills
    • Affinity for action and ability to get things done
    • Prior experience with Telecommunications
    • Ability to successfully work independently and as a member of a team
    • Ability to learn new technologies quickly
    • Leading QA teams on new and existing Products/Projects
    • Ability to adjust to changing priorities
    • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
    • Experience using Selenium based Automation Tools
    • Working knowledge of soft switch architectures
    • Working knowledge of the SIP protocol with the ability to analyze SIP message flows
    • Working with scripting languages
    • Working on a variety of complex technical assignments
    • Solving mission critical technical problems in a startup-paced business environment
    • Polished oral and written communications skills with the ability to communicate effectively with peers, management, customers, and vendors regardless of their background, experience, and ability to comprehend complex technical content
    • Very highly motivated with a strong sense of personal accountability
