As a key member of our Account Management Team, the Account Manager is responsible for selling into a select group of base accounts and growing the overall recurring revenue in that account base.

Reports to: Senior Director of Account Management

Position Responsibilites


Create a key account strategy for each account to coordinate internal efforts.

Develop rapport with key contacts in assigned customer account base.

Advocate customer needs and concerns. Escalate when needed.

Visit certain customers on-site to drive our CPaaS solution to closure.

Coordinate customer meetings both on-site and via conference call.

Provide presentations to customers with the support of subject matter experts.

Strong in Salesforce, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and understanding of Customer Success (CSM)

Champion customer needs/concerns from the account base to the Senior Director of Account Management and across the internal departments.

Maintain contacts, opportunities, and key info in CRM system.

Key Requirements to Suceed in This Position Include:

Establish a relationship with the customer and understand the accounts assigned while proactively reaching out to drive more business.

Know IntelePeer’s product set and the competitive marketplace that exists for IntelePeer.

Develop a 30/60/90-day sales pipeline within accounts assigned.

Forecast the size and timing of customer opportunities.

Quote, negotiate contracts, and close deals.

Meet or exceed assigned sales quota.

Demonstrated ability to interact daily with customers at all organizational levels.



Bachelor’s degree in related field highly preferred

Expertise & Experience:

10+ years of sales experience/ account management, with focus on upselling and cross-selling services.

Strong experience preferred in the telecommunications industry with knowledge of Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS), Unified Communications, Contact Centers, Voice Services, and Messaging.

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

Proficient in customer relationship management (CRM) software; Salesforce preferred
