IntelePeer AppworXTM Officially in the Running for

Best On-Demand Platform and Best Communication Solution Categories

SAN MATEO, Calif. -- March 5, 2009 -- IntelePeer Inc., a leader in hosted on-demand rich media communications, announced today that its IntelePeer AppworX Open Communications Platform has been selected as a finalist in the software categories of Best On-Demand Platform and Best Communication Solution by The Software & Information Industry Association’s 24th Annual CODiE Awards. Established in 1986, the CODiE Awards celebrate outstanding achievement and vision in the software, digital information, and education technology industries.

IntelePeer’s AppworX open communications platform for applications and the company’s carrier-grade network make it easy to roll out high-quality interactive voice, video, SMS, data and other rich media services that boost productivity while reducing telecommunications and operational expenses. A communications-as-a-service (CaaS) offering, IntelePeer AppworX is ideal for increasing collaboration among business application users, fostering closer connections with customers and introducing communications-enabled business processes that drive efficiency and deliver cost savings. IntelePeer can ensure high-quality service through the company’s redundant global peering network that already handles billions of voice minutes per year and its direct connections with more than 50 service providers around the globe.

IntelePeer is one of this year’s five finalists in the Best Communication Solution category and one of six finalists in the Best On-Demand Platform category. Nearly 190 judges encompassing tech trade journalists, consultants, educators, IT and product specialists, and other experts selected the finalists from more than 850 nominations submitted by 600 companies.

"Being named as a CODiE Award finalist proves the value and quality of the IntelePeer AppworX Application Platform, which allows our customers to quickly bring powerful voice and rich media services to market," said Charles Studt, vice president of product management for IntelePeer. "Our communications-as-a-service model eliminates most of the up-front deployment costs and risks while reducing our customers’ operational expenses."

"The competition is particularly steep this year during the 24th Annual SIIA CODiE Awards, making selection as a CODiE Finalist a real achievement," said SIIA President Ken Wasch. "All the companies on this year’s list of CODiE Finalists should feel justifiably proud of their accomplishment in making it to this stage, and have much excitement to look forward to regarding the upcoming CODiE Awards voting!"

A CODiE Awards Finalist Showcase, featuring Software and Content Award Finalists, will be held on May 4, at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco in conjunction with the SIIA NetGain and the SIIA Software Summit conferences. SIIA members will cast their votes during the Showcase. Award winners will be announced on May 5 during the CODiE Awards Reception and Gala.
